Job overview

Required as soon as possible, the Governors of this high achieving, oversubscribed Catholic Voluntary Academy seek to appoint two Level 3 Teaching Assistants to plan, implement and deliver learning activities to aid the eduction, personal and social development of pupils with additional needs.  The successful candidates will work with individuals to support and provide intervention which will raise attainment and promote independence.  Experience of working with children in an educational setting and with additional needs, together with excellent communication skills, the ability to work constructively as part of a team with a calm and positive outlook is essential to the role.

St Mary's is a popular and highly successful school situated on the North West fringe of Leeds, close th the Yorkshire Dales.  The school is part of the Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust which consists of the high school and 9 primary schools.  We became a Teaching School in October 2015 and a National Support School in September 2017.
