Vision for Education is seeking to appoint several Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools within the Morpeth and Alnwick areas, delivering short and medium term cover work. The successful applicant/s will be required to work 08:30-16:00, Monday-Friday from January 2018. There is also the possibility that longer-term full and part-time positions will be available. 

The successful Teaching Assistant/s will have excellent knowledge of working with children in nursery to Year 6 with a sound understanding of the Literacy and Numeracy curriculum throughout these year groups. In addition, experience of supporting children with a range of SEND will be advantageous; with a passion for supporting children in reaching their full potential, by adapting your approach and catering for their varying needs. To be considered for the position of Teaching Assistant you must:

  • Have experience supporting children in primary education 
  • Hold a Level 3 or above qualification in childcare
  • Have 1:1 experience supporting children with SEND (ASD, EBD, MLD and ADHD)
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team 
  • Have a passion for identifying children’s varying needs and adapting your approach to match
