We are seeking to appoint a compassionate, self-motivated and adaptable Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a successful and friendly school to ensure that all children receive the best possible learning.

 

As a Teaching Assistant you will supervise and support the learning of individual children or groups of children aged 4 – 11 under the direction and supervision of teachers and other senior staff developing a knowledge of the pupils and of their SEND needs.

The post holder is expected to work 37 hours per week with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. The hours of work are 8.15am – 4.15pm Monday to Thursday and 08:15 – 3:45 on Fridays on a full time basis, term time only. 

The role is subject to a 6-month probationary period.

The safeguarding responsibilities of the post include:

 

·         The provision of a safe environment in which children and young people feel heard

·         Being aware of the indicators of abuse and neglect

·         Ensuring vigilance in recognising changes in behaviour or mood

·         Reporting safeguarding concerns in line with the School’s Safeguarding Children and Child Protection Policy

·         Attending Safeguarding training and updates as requested by the School

 

The duties of this role meet the definition of regulated activity relevant to children and an enhanced DBS check with children’s barred list is appropriate.
