We are currently working on behalf of a primary school based in Wallsend, who are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a part-time role, hours consist of working Monday – Friday from 8.30 – 12.00. The role would be suitable for experienced, and recently qualified teaching assistants alike. You will be expected to support and encourage students to reach their full potential as well as having the ability to work well with other current staff members.

The position will start as soon as possible, but there is flexibility on the start date for the right person. The role will continue until the end of the academic year and therefore suitable candidates must be able to commit to the entirety of the role.

Person Specification:

  •  Must be Level 3 qualified in teaching and learning in schools or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Early Years curriculum
  • Have experience utilising the outdoors to promote independent learning
  • Experience working on a 1:1 and group basis with pupils with additional needs
  • Recent experience in a day nursery setting is advantageous
