Job Overview:
The Librarian will manage the school library resources, promote reading culture among young learners, and collaborate with teaching staff to enhance student engagement with literature. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a passion for fostering a love of reading in children.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working as a librarian or in an educational setting
- Familiarity with British curriculum requirements for primary education
- Strong knowledge of library management systems and cataloguing techniques
- Excellent communication skills tailored to young learners
- Ability to organize events such as book fairs, reading clubs, and storytelling sessions
- Proficient in using digital tools for resource management
