Librarian Assistant

Hours: Part time (20 hours per week), term time only plus 4 days

The role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Librarian Assistant to join our vibrant and wonderful School.  

As a vital member of our school library team, you will be responsible for efficiently processing, cataloguing, and sorting book stock, while providing support during Junior School library lessons. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for working with students, a love of reading and ideally, previous experience in a library setting.

As part of our small, friendly team of three, you will need to work flexibly and be willing to provide support to both our Junior and Senior School. There is also an expectation to cover library lessons within your normal working day, if required and, occasionally cover the Librarian when they are attending meetings or conferences, for which, you will be paid. Additionally, you must be able to attend our 4 INSET days which are at the start of each term, before our students return.
