Monday to Friday 9.30am - 4.15pm (30 minute unpaid lunch) although some flexibility is required

‘Could you be the missing Hat to our Cat?’

Two vibrant, partner primary schools are looking for a book lover who can inspire a passion for reading in children. This would involve a dual role of storyteller and librarian administrator. Both schools have already begun writing a fantastic tale of literacy provision for our children, but now we need someone to help us finish our final chapter! Could you be the missing Hat to our Cat?

Based in Birmingham, partner schools, Montgomery Primary Academy and Percy Shurmer Academy are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced librarian to raise standards of academic literacy. Montgomery Primary Academy is a Talk for Writing Training Centre and Percy Shurmer Academy have their very own specialist hearing Resource Base. Both schools are highly committed to raising the profile of reading and are investing heavily in resources to ensure that our pupils have the best possible provision.

The successful applicant will lead both school libraries, manage and develop the library resources and help to instil a love of reading and learning, be able to open the library for family sessions after school.
