Actual Salary: £20,895 - £22,344

Contract: 37 Hours Per Week, Term Time Only + 5 Days

 

We are seeking to appoint a skilled, motivated and committed Librarian to effectively manage the library on a daily basis, to include stock management, student supervision and provision of assistance to all library users and to develop strategies to foster a love of literature and reading, including material beyond the examined curriculum.

 

The ideal applicant will have:

·      Mathematics & English at GSCE level Grade C or above.

·      Good knowledge and understanding of the reading and information resources required by students. Sound knowledge of literature for children and young adults.

·      Strong oral and written communication skills, friendly & approachable.

Bruntcliffe Academy is an increasingly popular 11-16 comprehensive school with approximately 1400 students on roll. The school is situated in Morley which is on the outskirts of the thriving city of Leeds, with a very good motorway access to all areas of the north of England and beyond.
