Librarian

Rowan Preparatory SchoolSurrey

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced librarian to manage and promote our Library across the school, encouraging a love of reading amongst all pupils and providing an effective and engaging library service.  The role will also involve coordinating reading schemes which promote engagement and a breadth of reading.

The person appointed should be educated to degree level, ideally with a qualification in librarianship and be experienced in working with children.

This is a part-time position during term time (14 hours per week) to start September 2021. The salary is competitive and will reflect the postholder’s qualifications and experience.

There is scope to combine this role with the Clubs Coordinator role currently being advertised and offered at 10 hours per week.  Further details can be found on our website https://www.rowanprepschool.co.uk/about-us/vacancies

The closing date for applications is 21 May with interviews being held week commencing 24 May.   However, promising candidates may be interviewed before the closing date so early application is recommended.
