Wycliffe is a thriving day and boarding school for boys and girls aged from 3 to 18, set within the heart of the Cotswolds. Children join our Nursery Class from 3+ years. The Nursery offers a stimulating and safe environment, within the beautiful grounds of the Preparatory School, for children to start their first steps to learning. Our stand-alone Preparatory School is for children aged from 4+ to 13 years, where they can flourish and where they are encouraged to do their best. Wycliffe is an ideal destination for pupils who want all the advantages of a contemporary environment in a beautiful rural location. Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the management of the school library, including shelving and organising books and other materials
  • Assisting pupils and staff with finding and borrowing books and other resources
  • Provide excellent customer service to all library users, answering questions and helping with research tasks
  • Assist with promoting the library's resources and events to the wider school community
  • Help to plan and deliver engaging library activities and workshops for pupils

Terms of Appointment

This is a permanent position offered on a part-time basis, term-time only.

Working hours are 12:45pm to 9pm Thursdays and Saturdays 8.15am to 5pm.

Some flexibility to attend inset day training.

Salary £5,578 per annum (£19,539 pro-rata) – April review pending.

About Us

Wycliffe is an HMC co-educational day and boarding school. Wycliffe is located in Stonehouse, approximately 25 miles north of Bristol and 15 miles south of Cheltenham and Gloucester. Access via the motorway network is convenient (we are 3 miles from the M5) and there is a train station in Stonehouse (on the main line from London to Cheltenham) which is just a two minute walk from the school gates. In the Senior School pupils join at Year 9 (age 13) and continue until Year 13 (age 18). There are around 420 pupils in the school and 225 in the Sixth Form. Some 27 subjects are offered at A Level including Japanese, Film Studies, Computer Science and Psychology. Three BTECs are on offer as well as the EPQ. Main sports are rugby, football and cricket for boys with hockey, netball and tennis for girls. Wycliffe is the top school in the UK for squash, and excels at rowing and basketball and there is a thriving CCF.
