We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the library team and will welcome applications from anyone with a passion for books and promoting a love of reading to young people. We are currently recruiting for a Library Assistant who will work with the Learning Resources Manager to provide a safe, supportive learning environment during students’ free time as well as facilitating library lessons with KS3 students. We have two, very well used, libraries that are open between 7.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Both libraries are well resourced with a large number of books, periodicals, computers and online resources. The role will include solo supervision of students aged between 11 and 18 years old, processing new stock to add to the library catalogue, administration of the Accelerated Reader scheme and overseeing our student librarian team.
