Applications are invited for a Library Assistant K-6 at an Independent school located in the Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. It is a coeducational school that caters for Pre-School to Year 12.  Digital literacy and the development of computational, design and system thinking skills have long been a fundamental part of the students’ learning. The schools fosters students’ passions for computing and technology, within a School-wide culture of innovation. 


About the Role:

• Permanent full time term time only commencing Term 1, 2022

• Provide classroom & small group support, assisting with library and whole school
  events and creating fun and engaging displays in the library.

• Helping to facilitate our students engaging in the services of the library and play a
  key role in fostering a love of reading and literacy for students of all ages, interests and
  abilities

• Ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of operations within the physical library,
  allowing the Head of Library & Information Services (K-6) to focus on library learning
  programs, curriculum support and literacy and literature promotion.


Selection Criteria:

• Be registered or have the ability to be registered with NSW Working with Children
  Check (WWCC) 

• Ability to provide current and teaching related references from Middle
  Management/Executive Leadership level (please note referees will not be contacted
  until you have given permission and all applications are treated confidential)

• Have the right to work in Australia
