About the Role

The Library Technician will be a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have a strong customer service ethic, continually working to improve library practices, processes and outcomes for students.

Essential Criteria

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • An understanding of Catholic schools and a commitment to the goals of Catholic education;
  • A strong customer service orientation with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students, colleagues and the school community;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a team environment to ensure best practice in service delivery;
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and evolve processes to increase efficiency;
  • The ability to adapt to an ever-changing Library and ICT environment;
  • The ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, use initiative and solve problems; and
  • A Cert III in Library and Information Management or similar knowledge and experience in using standard cataloguing and library classification tools.
