At West Drayton Primary School, we want our children to reach their full potential and have the skills they need to be successful citizens. In order to achieve this, we want to appoint a life skills leader who will play a key part in supporting children with their physical, emotional and personal development.
 
The successful candidate will be cheerful, optimistic, motivated and ready to make a difference. They should have high expectations for what children can achieve and either know our school or have taken the time to find something out about us.
 
The role of the life skill leader is to:
• To help pupils overcome barriers to learning both in the classroom and outside in the playground;
• Provide opportunities for pupils, particularly vulnerable pupils, to learn and apply our school’s values and skills such as: the ability to compromise, to resolve conflicts, to work together and be able to organise themselves.
 
The school merits a visit if you need persuading to apply.  Facilities and resources are excellent and the children are wonderful.
