The Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Light Motor Vehicle Technician on a full-time, term time basis to provide technical support to tutors and students.

Applicants must have a recognised qualification in the automotive industry (IMI or similar) and Level 2 qualifications or equivalent in Numeracy, IT and Literacy (or a willingness to achieve these).

This is a hands-on role which involves working as a member of a vocational team.  The Light Motor Vehicle Technician provides effective technical support for tutors and students, ensuring that the automotive provision operates to a consistently high standard. The role includes the maintenance of test and practical facilities, the day to day maintenance of workshop equipment and tools, monitoring stores and stock control. Supporting teaching learning and assessment in the workshop and classroom environment
