ABC Teachers are recruiting for an early years teacher to cover a long-term contract, from December 2018 until September 2019, on a 0.8 contract in Sparkhill, Birmingham.

The role will be working with a large reception class, where you will be supported by 2 teaching assistants who already know the class well, and you will be required to plan and deliver a creative and engaging curriculum. The reception class is part of a large and multicultural school which has a strong focus on inclusion and progression and is rapidly improving with attainment and academic results reflecting this. 

The successful candidate must:

- Hold valid QTS

- Have excellent working knowledge of the early years curriculum

- Be a proactive and confident within the classroom

- Contribute to raising standards across the school

- Have excellent interpersonal and team player skills 

- Be approachable, reliable and organised

To register with us, all candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview, hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce on the Update Service and also gain references to cover the last 2 years. Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 3 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
