About the role

To teach lower key stage 2 class- Part Time Fixed Term- FTE 0.5

  • To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the academy's policies under the direction of the Headteacher.
  • To be a highly effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has pupils who achieve well.


Fixed Term Contract for 1 year until 31st August 2024 - Term time only

Who we are looking for

  • Experience of teaching to a range of year groups
  • Demonstrable evidence of high standards of class teaching
  • Practical understanding of effective teaching and evaluation strategies
  • Experience of managing a range of need
  • Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of pupils.
  • Experience of successful subject leadership

We are a new state-funded primary preparatory school, which opened in September 2014 for reception pupils. In September 2016 we moved into our brand new, purpose-built school building, which is located on the Malcolm Arnold Academy Campus. Our school is committed to ensuring that our children not only excel in the classroom, but also gain the skills and passions to enable them to be successful long into their futures.
