The Role 

RAK Academy, Khuzam is looking for a positive, driven and inspirational Lower Key Stage 2 Phase Leader (with responsibility for Mathematics) to join the school’s management team. The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to lead a key subject across the whole school (subject will be based on area of specialism and experience). 

Essential   

• Hold a bachelor’s degree and a post-graduate qualification in education.     
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)      
• Have a proven record of raising attainment and improving progress.    
• Have an excellent understanding of teaching and learning.    
• Be proficient in the development and adaptation of curriculum in a key subject.      
• Have a proven track record of excellent classroom and pedagogical practice. 

Desirable   

• Ability to teach across multiple primary key stages.      
• Ability to oversee and implement the analysis of student outcomes.   
• Understand curriculum design and the concept of a developing an aspirational, cumulative curriculum.   
• Take responsibility for leading the development and resourcing of the curriculum in collaboration with other Phase Leaders.
