Sidmouth Primary School are looking for a passionate class teacher to deliver high quality lessons, whilst successfully nurturing and inspiring our children.  As part of our energetic and welcoming team, you will enthuse and motivate children to strive for success whilst maintaining a stimulating learning environment, to support their learning.

What we offer:

Sidmouth is a very warm, welcoming and calm environment in which to develop as a member of staff or a child.   The school has around 380 enthusiastic children that have a thirst for learning, enthusiasm and were awarded a very well deserved ‘outstanding’ Ofsted comment for their behaviour and attitude.

You would become part of our team of talented, hardworking and dedicated staff and governors who offer strong support and appropriate challenge, encouraging and promoting a strong ethos of regular CPD. At Sidmouth everyone has very high expectations of all.  Our last Ofsted Inspection (November 2016) resulted in an overall outcome of ‘Good’.

In September 2018 the school converted to Academy Status, joining with the Yorkshire and Humber Co-operative Learning Trust (YHCLT) which is a group of 6 primary schools and 2 secondary schools. All members hold co-operative values centrally to all that we do and children are at the heart of all decision making. CPD opportunities are excellent for YHCLT staff.

Who we are looking for:

We wish to appoint an inspirational, innovative practitioner to teach full time in one of our classes. Both experienced and NQT applications are welcome.

The successful applicant will:

● be a dynamic and highly motivated practitioner who is a good team player.

● have high expectations of themselves, the children and colleagues and be committed to raising standards.

● have a full appreciation for the key role that a good teacher plays in a child’s development.

● be a positive role model for others, both children and adults.

● have polished interpersonal skills.

● be committed to the continuing involvement of parents and the wider community in the education process.

● be fully committed to providing a stimulating and creative, safe environment in which children effectively learn, grow and develop.

We work together to produce the best possible provision for our enthusiastic, well behaved children.  All staff and Governors are totally dedicated to safeguarding children without compromise, whilst continually striving to  improve standards of teaching and learning, CPD, management opportunities, teamed with a passion for improving children’s life chances.

We look forward to you joining our dedicated and supportive team.

Visits to the school are encouraged and would be warmly welcomed.  Please contact the school on 01482 441152 to make an appointment.
