Context

This is a unique opportunity for primary educators (first students aged 4-8 years old) with a strong interest in cutting-edge, research-based, inquiry education. A rare chance to join a well-funded, mission-driven, start-up, not for profit school with genuine ambitions to re-invent international education in line with the best research. The school, planned over the last two years, will be in a stunning part of Uruguay on a 40ha green-field site close to the superb coastline city of Punta Del Este. The building designs are for a state-of-the-art facility later in 2022. Our start up ‘center for learning’ from February 2022 will be in a splendid historic building. The pilot school will be a place for limited numbers of pioneer families and will be the center for the co-creation of the launch school. Early team members will have the joy of being able to plan the school of our dreams. Uruguay is regarded as the ‘Switzerland of South America’ with its stable economy and liberal democratic society and the quality of life in the region is unparalleled.

And we believe in the education of the child as a whole; with the pillars of an outstanding education necessarily including but extending far beyond academic success. At TGS our role is quite simply to support children in developing what is finest in themselves - and providing that support informs everything we do.
