Smart Teachers are searching for inspired Australian and New Zealand educators to apply for a Year 1 Teacher position, to join a two form entry primary school in Brent, London. The school is looking to recruit a Year 1 Teacher on a full time basis, starting in September 2020 for the duration of the 2020/21 academic year. Both experienced teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome to apply. The successful Year 1 Teacher will be responsible for the planning, delivery and assessment of the curriculum. Full time and part time options would be considered. The school prides itself on the community spirit it has created. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Bachelor of Education / Post Graduate Diploma of Education / or equivalent teaching degree with current teacher registration

In order to be considered for this role, the Year 1 Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor of Education / Post Graduate Diploma of Education / or equivalent teaching degree with current teacher registration
  • Proven experience teaching the UK, or an equivalent, curriculum
  • Graduate Teachers and/or OS-trained teachers are welcome to apply
  • Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa/right to work)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
