£17,538 per annum pro rata, actual salary £11,850 per annum
We are seeking an exceptional delivery driver to join our newly re-launched Estates Admin team and provide an efficient, reliable, inter-site mail and resource delivery service to the College.
You will assist with the sorting and processing of internal and external mail and as we operate across a large estate covering several sites you will ensure deliveries of mail, resources and packages to all sites are accurate and timely. You will record all courier deliveries into the central post room and will carry out additional courier requests as required.
In addition, you will ensure the college vehicle is maintained to a high standard and will provide admin support to the team when duties allow.
To be successful you will have proven delivery driving experience and be able to demonstrate the ability to use your initiative and resolve problems with missing or delayed mail. You will also have experience of dealing with internal and external customers, employing excellent communication, interpersonal and people skills. The ability to work collaboratively and to work proactively and flexibly to ensure the continuance of the provision as well as to work effectively within a team and provide a timely operational response are also essential to this role.

Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
