An exciting opportunity for a dedicated, energetic, creative, inspiring and committed Professional construction Lecturer (Civil Engineering Pathway) has arisen in one of the country’s largest Colleges. This is an opportunity for an ambitious educator to really make their mark in an exciting and forward-thinking FE college, and to prove themselves in teaching role. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver outstanding lessons to L3 and L4 students studying different courses in the professional construction area. In addition to experience in professional construction (curriculum/industry), you must be educated at least to a degree level in Construction.  


We are a leading and long established Engineering & Logistics school that offers high quality courses from level 1 up to Level 5 in Engineering, Motor Vehicle (MV) and Construction & the Built Environment (CBE). Our courses are focused on ensuring students gain the practical skills & expertise to forge a path of employment in the Engineering, MV and CBE industries. In order to facilitate this we have a dedicated team of experienced and outstanding lecturers with an excellent working knowledge of Engineering, MV and CBE.  


Further to this, the courses have been designed by staff to provide a creative and supportive environment with a commitment to diversity and inclusion to help all students reach their potential.

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.

However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options. 

Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.

That’s not to say our college doesn’t offer its own fair share of experiences. Within the 5 locations the following are available;
