Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities


• Required to teach on PSV/ Motor Vehicle courses both theory and practical up to the equivalent of NVQ Level 3.

• Have a flexible and innovative approach to the management of the student learning programme.

• Lead on the PSV Apprenticeship programme and Full Cost Recovery

• Liaise with parents/guardians, schools and other organisations as appropriate.

• Carry out appropriate course administration including lesson plans and schemes of work.

• Comply with the Quality Assurance procedures of the College.

• Maintain appropriate learning resources.

• Participate in college Enrolment, Induction and Open Days and attend meetings, marketing events and other relevant functions as required by the line manager.

• Ensure “In Attendance” time is carried out to meet the needs of the students.

• To carry out student assessments using a range of techniques and tools determined by the College.

• Monitor the academic progress of students on their courses, including tracking skills and arranging additional support where required.

• Set targets for improvement and provide constructive feedback on progress.

• Provide pastoral care, student support, initial advice and guidance, including the safeguarding and promotion of the students’ welfare.

• Assist in the development of appropriate curriculum initiatives.
