To contribute to achieving excellence in teaching and learning through innovative and excellent practice. You will be expected to create effective and stimulating learning opportunities for all students studying Science through high quality teaching, learning and assessment. This may involve delivery on a range of courses; GCSE Trilogy Science, AS and A2 and Level 3 BTEC Applied Science and in future T-Levels. You will be expected to monitor each student’s academic performance and provide feedback for improvements, supervise, and motivate students to achieve their academic and personal goals. You will teach up to 832 hrs per year and our cohort within the Sixth Form is predominantly 16-18 year olds. We are looking for someone who can offer some flexibility in the subject specialisms offered, to be able to provide us cross specialism teaching particularly for the GCSE Trilogy and BTEC applied science courses.

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.

However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options. 

Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.

That’s not to say our college doesn’t offer its own fair share of experiences. Within the 5 locations the following are available;
