6.30am -2.30pm Monday to Thursday 6.30am – 2.00pm Friday
(½ hour unpaid lunch break)

The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidate to ensure that all school facilities are in excellent and safe condition with the highest possible standards of cleanliness for use by pupils, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for opening and closing of the school buildings and carrying out routine maintenance and basic repairs during the school day. You will inspect the premises each week to ensure that buildings are safe and well maintained and log any repair works found from the above inspection on the site team portal and schedule time to complete the repair.
About You
You will have the ability to carry out minor repairs to the fabric and fittings of the building, be adaptable and self motivated, be able to work on your own initiative as well as being a member of a team and have an awareness of Health and Safety issues. You will have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.

Smithills School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school situated in Bolton, Lancashire. There are approximately 1200 students at the school, between the ages of 11-16.
