Maiden Erlegh Trust is a growing Multi-Academy Trust improving the life chances of over 3,500 pupils and students across our schools in Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

We are now seeking a Management Accountant to join our busy Finance team. Reporting into and working closely with the Financial Controller, this role will play a pivotal part in delivering a first-class finance service to the Trust and its constituent schools.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop a broad understanding of the operational landscape of the Trust and to be able to effectively convert this into a financial picture that allows for non-finance colleagues to quickly grasp key concepts.

The successful candidate will have finance experience, ideally from within the educational sector, be CCAB qualified or working towards a recognised qualification and be someone who can display the enthusiasm and drive required to support the Financial Controller in a very busy and demanding post.

The role will be based at the Trust’s head office, Maiden Erlegh School.

Maiden Erlegh Trust is an exciting place to work where all our staff have the highest of aspirations for students, provide sophisticated support and challenge. Consequently, students receive a high quality education. Our results are consistently well above the national and students from different backgrounds, and abilities, thrive.

We are keen to receive applications from proactive and driven individuals who can demonstrate experience of working in a similar environment and who want to join us on our journey.

Visits are warmly welcomed so that you can meet us and see how we work. Please contact recruitment@maidenerleghtrust.org  with your interest to visit.

Maiden Erlegh Trust was established in October 2014, when we received approval to open a new free school to serve the needs of students in East Reading. Maiden Erlegh School in Reading opened its doors to students in September 2015.

Since then, we have welcomed Great Hollands Primary School (Bracknell), Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge (Sonning Common), Hamilton School (Reading), Cranbury College (Reading) and River Academy (Reading) into the Trust. We are a growing family of schools and are poised for a most exciting future.
