Data Processing Officer

Part Time: 25 Hours per week (Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 3pm)

Salary: £18,352 - £20,664  per annum (£12,400 - £13,962 pro rata)

We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic, team player to join our busy Management Information Systems Department. 

Main purpose of the Role:

· To undertake data processing and validation with regards to learner and course data

· To maintain accurate course, timetable and examination data using the College student records system and associated modules.

· To maintain learner data through registers, attendance and achievement.

· To process withdrawals, transfers and completion information in a timely manner.

· Liaise with Learning Area Managers and colleagues in other departments to ensure data is complete and up to date.

The Ideal Candidate will:

· Have a working knowledge of Unit-e, Celcat, Pro-Achieve

· Work efficiently and accurately

· Be fully computer literate, with a good working knowledge of current office software packages

· Be highly organised

· Be able to prioritise their workload

· Be able to use their own initiative 

· Be flexible and a team player

· Be adaptable

· Be able to multi task

· Enjoy working in a busy environment.

Central Bedfordshire College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college, situated across six campuses in and around Dunstable in Bedfordshire. The college provides 16 to 19 study programmes for around 1,200 students with the large majority on level 2 and level 3 programmes. Courses include health and social care, engineering, construction, media and business.

The college was originally established in 1961 in Dunstable and, in January 2010, was renamed Central Bedfordshire College – reflecting the college's commitment to Central Bedfordshire as a whole and its ambition to be recognised as the premier post sixteen institution in the area. It has recently invested in the Kingsway Project which has created new facilities.
