Mandarin Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled teacher of Mandarin to play a key role in establishing the subject within the school.

Teaching will range across Years 8 to 13 initially. The subject is taught as a club in Year 8, as an off timetable lesson in Year 9 and with KS4 & 5 timetabled as part of the formal curriculum. 

This is an exciting growth opportunity for the school and the chance for someone with the appropriate experience to work as part of a very successful Modern Foreign Languages team in a highly academic environment.

Modern Foreign Languages at Wimbledon High School:

Within the MFL Department, we teach French, German and Spanish to A-Level. We have five full-time and four part-time teachers as well as language assistants in all three modern languages.  

It is our aim in the MFL Department to make learning languages an enjoyable and inspiring experience for the students. Enjoyment is combined with hard work and encouragement, which leads to high academic achievement. We also strive to foster cultural awareness, understanding, openness and tolerance of other cultures.
