Laidlaw Schools Trust (LST) are looking to recruit a Marketing and Communications Executive to our central team in Newcastle. The successful person will be responsible for marketing the Trust to external stakeholders, internal and external communications and assisting in the development and delivery of a social media strategy for our academies.
We are a high growth multi-academy trust in the North East of England, serving children and families in Newcastle, Sunderland and Durham. We pride ourselves in being a progressive, inclusive trust that supports every child to develop their talents whatever they may be and to reach their academic potential. It is important that as a learning organisation we adapt and change to the needs of our pupils. We take care to value and develop all colleagues to make sure they can do their very best for children across our academies.
This role is a key appointment for us as our trust expands. We currently educate more than 5,300 children and we need the successful candidate to ensure that the LST brand, communications and marketing for students, parents, staff and stakeholders are expertly managed in order to ensure that all children are proud to be part of LST, that parents flock to send their children to an LST Academy and teachers want and find lasting careers with LST.
Reporting directly to the Deputy CEO we are looking for someone with:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to write copy, proof read and design with great attention to detail
• A proven track record in creating, using and editing content in different channels (web, social media, PR, email) based on audience insight and evaluation
• The ability to work well with and gather content from a range of colleagues, and to build strong relationships both internally and externally
• The ability to work with multiple creative agencies who have been engaged for support with branding, signage and social media strategy development
If you’re a bright star and a great communicator with a keen eye for detail in both planning and creative output, this could be the perfect role for you.
This role contributes to the life chances of our children so you will need to be passionate about education and delivering a professional service. In return for your proven expertise and commitment, we can offer you an opportunity to work for a Trust which has aspirations to grow and deliver outstanding opportunities for our children and their families.
Further details and an application pack can be downloaded from the Careers section on the Laidlaw Schools Trust website https://www.laidlawschoolstrust.co.uk/72/vacancies-1. Interested candidates are welcome to visit our central office or to have an informal discussion, please contact Rob Hughes - 0191 6622400.
Closing Date: 12 noon on Friday 9th December 2022
Interviews will take place: TBC
Applications should be returned to: hradmin@laidlawschoolstrust.com
We are an equal opportunities employer strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their commitment to children’s safeguarding. All successful appointments will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a range of other pre-employment recruitment checks.
