The Ted Wragg Trust is looking for a driven and proactive individual with proven marketing and media experience who can develop and drive forward the Trust’s Communications Strategy to promote, enhance and protect the Trust’s brand and reputation.

Reporting to the Director of Communications your remit will be wide ranging and you will be responsible for:

• building and maintaining professional relationships with the media, locally and regionally, to support and promote the ethos and work of the Trust;

• responding to press enquiries and managing any crisis communications that may be required;

• supporting and advising colleagues across our schools in terms of both internal and external communication; 

• managing all social media platforms maintaining a positive brand reputation across social media sites through effective content, monitoring and response;

• Organising and running events and campaigns.

To be successful in this exciting new role, you do not need to have an education background but you will be a confident and influential communicator with experience of working in marketing and media relations. You will need to be well organised with excellent attention to detail, highly motivated and have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You will need to manage competing priorities, be responsive and deal with unexpected and sometimes sensitive issues. Flexibility in your approach to your work working hours is also important.

This is a part time 0.6 fte contract (865.8 hours to be worked per annum) worked flexibly predominately over 39 weeks of term time at grade H (£36,876 - £40,760) - actual salary range £18,780 – £20,758
