Beacon Academy is looking for a Marketing and Communications Officer. We are looking for a professional and self-motivated individual, with excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible. This opportunity will require the candidate to use their creativity and input into our marketing strategy and to build on and extend the reputation of Beacon Academy.
The role will include:
· Developing and delivering the academy’s marketing, communications and social media strategies
· Assisting with the management of social media accounts and school website
· Coordinate the Marketing Committee meetings, preparing agendas and papers
· Assisting with production and design of marketing materials, including brochures
· Proof reading and copywriting communications and marketing materials
We are a rural, mixed 11-18 comprehensive converter academy with nearly 1300 students including 250 in the Sixth Form. We are situated in Crowborough on the edge of the Ashdown Forest and in close proximity to Tunbridge Wells and the South Coast. We have been judged good with outstanding features in 2 successive Ofsted observations, and are well on the way to achieving our goal of outstanding.
Working days and times are negotiable on appointment.
Single Status Grade 6/7 is currently £18,578 to £21,463, full time equivalent. As this role is 20 hours per week, term time only the actual salary would be £8,705 to £10,218
