 KEY PURPOSE

An efficient and effective Marketing team is essential to the continued success of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai. The Marketing & Communications Officer has a key role to play in this, by ensuring that all forms of communication for the Grŵp - on the website, through social media and in the press - are of the highest standard and promote the Grŵp’s wide range of opportunities and numerous success stories. 

The post holder will deploy a range of skills and knowledge to enable them to contribute effectively to the delivery of a first-rate marketing and communication service, both externally and internally. In particular, s/he will be required to write high quality content for the press and for Grŵp publications and to organise college & Grŵp events, including open events and awards ceremonies.

The post holder will be based at one of the Grŵp’s main campuses, Bangor, and will be expected to visit other campuses within the Grŵp on a regular basis.

Additionally, s/he will be expected to communicate effectively with existing and potential customers, both within and outside the college, with suppliers and with other stakeholders. S/he will also support other members of the Marketing & Communications Directorate and undertake other reasonable tasks and responsibilities at the request of the Marketing & Communications Team Leader.

Grŵp Llandrillo Menai was established in 2012 as a result of mergers between Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. It employs 2,000 staff and delivers courses to around 27,000 students, including over 1,000 higher education students, across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd.
