Job overview

Sir Simon Milton Westminster University Technical College opens in September 2017 and will be the first UTC in the Zone 1 Central London area.

With a focus on construction and engineering, we will provide an outstanding education for 14-19 year olds, encompassing real, relevant workplace experience in partnership with world-class companies.

The pioneering chance to create an innovative education establishment is very rare and this is an exciting opportunity to join us from the start.

As a key member of a small team you will ensure that the students have fantastic experiences working with employers both within the UTC and in companies.  You will have experience of quality employer engagement or marketing a College. You’ll build positive relationships with business leaders, students, staff and parents. You can demonstrate successful leadership of links between education and business.  An equally important element of this role is to ensure the delivery of the College marketing strategy, with a focus on securing enrolments and managing the admissions database Hubspot.   Our sponsors, Network Rail, Alstom, Land Sec, Colas Rail and TFL underpinned by the University of Westminster, are committed to creating an outstanding College that will provide a talented young workforce for companies in the London region. If you have the expertise and commitment to make a life-changing impact on our students then we’d like to hear from you.  The appointed person will be required to work some evenings throughout the academic year.

The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Appointed staff will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.

Applications close 12th July 2017, 12pm.

Situated close to Victoria tube station we serve students from across London who are passionate about STEM with many students making long commutes to be part of our incredible community. Also served by Sloane Square and Pimlico Tube stations, as well as a number of bus routes, it couldn’t be easier to get to the school or the many local amenities.
