Purpose of the Position 

  • The Marketing & Events Officer is responsible for the implementation of the College Values, Vision and Mission, College policies and procedures.  
  • The Marketing & Events Officer is responsible for raising the visibility of the College by carrying out an effective marketing and events plan in order to: 
  1. Attract new students across the College’s portfolio of programs
  2. Publicise the strengths of the College 
  3. Promote the profile of the College as a whole to external audiences  


Qualifications Tertiary qualifications at Certificate level or equivalent qualifications relevant to the position will be required.  


Experience in a marketing role and some evidence of professional development within marketing.  

Experienced user of Microsoft Office word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation packages.    


Characteristics 

To play a major role in the success of St Mary’s by ensuring that all promotion and events are in alignment with long term goal setting.  The post holder will, from time to time, be required to undertake other duties of a similar nature as may reasonably be required by his/her line manager.  There may be occasions when the post holder’s role and skill set may be required elsewhere within the College, so flexibility will be essential.      At St Mary’s College the post holder reports to  - The Principal through the Business Manager.
