Job overview

Are you looking for a fresh challenge in a key role with a new and extended remit?

Are you excited to market a dynamic forward-thinking school with a proud history and unparalleled location?

Do you embrace our values of wisdom, integrity, compassion and excellence?

Following the promotion of the current postholder to a position in a leading independent school, we are looking for an experienced and highly organised colleague to take responsibility for communications both within and beyond the school, to market the school effectively and to deploy a variety of media to do so.

We will look to you to take the excellent work that we have done around marketing, branding, communications and PR to the next level as we continue to grow our school. Your audience is broad encompassing prospective, current and former pupils and students, their parents and other key stakeholders linked to the school. You will have a key role in developing initiatives around admissions into Years 7 and 12.

It is an exciting time in the school’s development with the need to deliver on a detailed marketing plan and additional resources being used to understand a changing marketplace both for secondary education and post 16 provision.

To be successful, you will need to have a keen eye for detail, the ability to design and produce a broad range of marketing and media collateral. You will have a ‘can do’ attitude and a commitment to meeting deadlines. You will have a strong grasp of the moral purpose of the school in providing transformational education to a comprehensive and diverse community. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, is an inspirational leader and is able to work under pressure with a wide range of people in a busy secondary school context.

The role is full time, term time only with 2 weeks during the summer holiday period. However, consideration will be given to the right candidate wishing to work full time, all year round.

Our School holds many out of hours’ events and we would welcome applications from those willing to work flexibly in order to be available for these activities.

We welcome applications from those with experience of design programmes and an excellent command of the English language. Previous experience in an educational context would be an advantage. We believe in developing our staff and have an energetic and supportive staff team and effective CPD programmes.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.
