An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to join the Marketing department. Our outcomes at GCSEs for progress places us in the top 10% of schools, nationally. The school operates a sophisticated curriculum that is tailored to individual students’ needs.  Student outcomes are very high, specifically in core and EBacc subjects, with Progress 8 scores of +0.50 in English, +1.05 in maths and +0.89 in EBacc.  Our mathematics outcomes are in the top 50 schools in England.  Additionally, we have a thriving Sixth form which has grown substantially during the last two years and is the highest achieving in the Borough. We boast an excellent sustained success rate, placing us in the top 6% for outcomes in the country, with over 35% of students moving on to attend Russell Group universities. 

About the role:

1. Play a key role in the development of our visual online presence and print presence, to include the website, college intranet, digital communications and our social media presence.

2. Using the school calendar, support all events and occasions with high-quality publicity, publications and website information.

3. Ensure effective, quality and timely production of artwork for a wide range of print materials, from large scale publications to flyers, newsletters, signage, and advertising, in line with the marketing plan and Brand Guidelines.

4. Design branding and identify graphics and use these to promote the school.

5. Ensure there is commonality of branding across the school.

6. Liaise with printing companies and the web host to ensure good quality service.

7. Oversee the content on the school’s notice boards and signage.

8. Coordinate effective internal distribution of key materials and publications, ensuring that publication/material display stands are well maintained and stock is effectively stored and monitored for re-ordering.

9. Maintain a schedule for outdoor banner updates, updating and ordering new banners to ensure that our displays are always current in line with our campaign and event schedules.

12. Ensure effective implementation of our Brand Guidelines throughout artwork production, to help ensure our visual identity is highly effective and achieves our branding and recruitment goals.

13. Creating the content for the school's Twitter account 

14. Maintaining and updating the schools Twitter account and making approved responses as required. 

15. Following educational specialists on social media to look for opportunities to contribute to discussions online and build relationships with them.

We need you to be:

1. Strong ICT skills, including desktop publishing programmes.  The school has use of publisher, InDesign and the full Abode Creative Studio Suite. Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Publisher, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook. 

2. Experience in taking digital photographs and modifying these for use in publications and website.

3. Proficient in web design - add, alter and monitor the school website to ensure that key information is uploaded.

4. Attention to detail and problem solving skills.

5. Ability to work accurately with excellent attention to detail and produce high quality of work.

6. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities to ensure that deadlines are met. 

7. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and deal with people at all levels.

8. Ability to communicate confidently and effectively both orally and in writing. 

9. Open to change with a flexible approach.

10. Willingness to work to further the School’s aims with regard to equal opportunities and raising achievement and work cooperatively towards the aims of the school.
