Together the Group forms a Sixth Form, Skills and Technology Centre, University Centre, employer training and adult learning provider delivering exceptional teaching and learning to all ages and at all levels. 


The Exciting Role 

We are looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic Marketing Executive to lead our adult recruitment activity, to support recruitment across Lancashire to our outstanding adult learning provision.

The successful candidate will have a wide portfolio of marketing experience. You will have a strong track record of success both for the planning and delivery of campaigns, as well as being able to demonstrate impact and an ‘extraordinary’ customer experience. 

You will be a great team worker, able to build strong relationships with curriculum colleagues to support recruitment and conversion, drive enquiries and a wide range of engagement. You will be passionate about the overall customer experience and creative with your ideas to continue to improve our campaign delivery.

You will have experience of multi-channel marketing and be an excellent content creator. You will have strong digital marketing experience, effectively driving digital engagement as well as effective conversion through targeted digital activity.  

You will be as strong creatively as you are organised, with a flexible, responsive, and solution-focused attitude. Working within our marketing team, you will be a great team player, proactively sharing ideas and best practice. 

You will be a confident link person for our cross-college teams, delivering recruitment solutions that see results!

This role will be based at our Nelson and Colne College site however, travel across sites may be required.


What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead on the planning and delivery of, and reporting on, campaign activity for all adult facing curriculum to support recruitment and stakeholder engagement 

• Deliver targeted and creative multichannel marketing campaigns to increase recruitment numbers

• Ensure appropriate campaign formats and creative solutions for improving the customer experience  

• Work closely with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external, to develop a strong adult learning offer and brand identity.

• Coordinate the production of key materials to support adult recruitment delivery 

• Evaluate the success of campaigns to support future improvement planning 


What We Are Looking For:

• Degree Level Qualification in a relevant subject

• Professional qualification in Marketing (CIM), highly desirable

• Wide portfolio of campaign delivery experience

• Relevant experience coordinating successful multi-channel marketing campaigns for different audience groups

• Experience coordinating the production of a broad range of promotional materials, with a supporting portfolio of examples

• A strong understanding of digital marketing to include social media and digital advertising

About Nelson and Colne College

Nelson and Colne College, located in the town of Nelson, Lancashire, offers further education to 1,600 full-time students and 3,500 part-time adults. The college was founded during the reorganisation of education in Pendle in the early 1970s and created by the merger of several local sixth forms. 

Recent investments have included a £2m engineering facility, an all-weather sports pitch and gym, fully equipped science laboratories, and student study and social spaces. In January 2017, Nelson and Colne College launched a university centre to offer a range of higher education programmes in East Lancashire and beyond.
