Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities 

 • Support the development and execution of the College Marketing Strategy

 • Plan, deliver and evaluate a range of tactical marketing activity including, but not restricted to campaigns, events, internal communications 

• Write articles, case studies, news stories and other PR materials to promote the College • Liaise with news publishers in traditional media and online with regards to promoting our content  

• Support and advise internal and external stakeholders in relation to college marketing activity • Create precise and engaging content for all channels including but not restricted to print, broadcast and digital and social media

 • Undertake and manage marketing projects at the request of the Head of Marketing

 • Support the college’s internal communications activities 

• Co-ordinate entries into a variety of publications and directories • Represent and promote college at a range of internal and external events 

• Undertake various student recruitment activities, including school visits and open days

 • Undertake a variety of research projects that can support our decision making and promotional messages

•   Play a part in developing the College brand and acting as a guardian of the brand

 • Proof read and quality check a range of content and materials ensuring everything is produced to a consistent and high quality 

• Ensure that the college’s planned cycle of activities and campaigns happens in a timely manner 

• Where required work with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers including media owners and agencies • Undertake administration duties that aid the smooth operation of the Marketing Department • Maintain and develop relevant marketing databases for the use of communicating with all stakeholders 

• Perform any other duties as commensurate with the grade and nature of the post.

 • The post holder may be required to undertake occasional evening and weekend work  

Other Duties and Responsibilities

 • To comply with internal and external quality standards and contribute to strategic aims; • To comply with all policies and procedures and health and safety regulations;

 • To support the safeguarding and promotion of student welfare; 

• To maintain confidentiality in relation to all information and to comply with Data Protection legislation; 

• To participate in the appraisal scheme and undertake any training as required

• To support and actively participate in the implementation of the Single Equality Policy.  Performance Management

  • To demonstrate a satisfactory level of performance, the Marketing Officer will be expected to achieve a series of personal and overall team targets;

 • Performance will be reviewed and monitored on a monthly basis by the Head of Marketing.  This job description provides only an outline of key accountabilities and responsibilities and will be subject to review and change as required.
