Contract Type: Fixed term – 8 month contract

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Primarily Chester but with travel required across Campuses (Chester, Ellesmere Port and Crewe) 

We have an exciting opportunity to join and work alongside our dynamic Marketing team as we plan, produce and deliver a strong PR and Content plan for an exciting new project.

Main purpose of job: 


• meet the needs of learners, employers and other stakeholders;

• are of the highest possible quality to ensure a positive contribution to learner outcomes and learner/employer satisfaction;

• are effective, efficient and provide excellent value for money;

• reflect the vision, mission, aims and values of the college;

• are innovative, developmental and sector leading; and

• promote a culture of excellence and equality.



Required Skills and Experience:

 Ability to develop, produce and edit a wide variety of high-quality written content

• Strong creative skills and an eye for detail

• Ability to work flexibly, with occasional evening and weekend working expected to cover key college events

• Understand key audience segments and get to know the content types and messaging required to engage with these groups

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience of utilising some, if not all of the following: WordPress and Adobe InDesign

• Experience with videoing and video editing is desirable

Key Person Specification Requirements:

• Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths

• Good understanding of writing and publishing content

• Driven individual that is willing and excited to learn and share key skills 

• Strong eye for detail

• Ability to develop positive working relationships

• A proactive and driven attitude

• Confidence to build relationships from scratch or approach people for key content

• Ability to travel across all three Campuses to support with events and capture key content

Crewe Campus

Cheshire College are the only Further Education provider in Cheshire to have been selected by the Government to offer T Levels in Construction, Digital, Science and Health, Education and Childcare, from September 2021. The brand-new two-year qualifications have been designed with leading businesses and provide learners with numerous opportunities to find out what a real career is like.
