We are seeking a Marketing Officer to join our College on a parental leave replacement contract.

The position of Marketing Officer at St Peter Claver College requires a highly motivated and innovative person to join a team dedicated to nurturing engagement with the College community.

The Marketing Officer is a communications-based role for someone who has a passion and flair for writing and creation. The position involves co-ordination of a range of school publications and communication mediums including the College website, Parent and Staff Portals, social media, electronic Newsletter and Annual Yearbook.

As a key member of the College administration team, the Marketing Officer operates within the Catholic educational environment and culture and reports to the Business Manager. A significant relationship also exists with the Principal and College Leadership Team.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.


Estimated Start Date: 
Commencing August 2021

Position Tenure:  Fixed Term

Weeks Worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):  12 Months

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: Monday to Friday - 30 hours per week.

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: School Officer Level 4 - $32.23 per hour

Employment Conditions:  Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
