The Directors of Blessed Edward Bamber Catholic Trust (BEBCMAT) have created a new and exciting opportunity to lead the Trust wide strategy for SEND. The successful candidate will be a key member of our central Education Team and will work in partnership with the Headteachers and SENDCos across the Trust, to start on the 1st September 2024. They will have responsibility for: raising standards in learning and pupil progress, co-ordinating the provision for children with Special Needs and Disability, monitoring standards and assessing progress across schools. The successful candidate will also act as the named SENDCo in any of the Trust schools as required.

BEBCMAT currently consists of eight schools and is rapidly growing across Blackpool, the Fylde and Wyre. The successful candidate will help to take the lead on this exciting journey to help all Schools within the Trust provide an inspirational education for all, helping every child to achieve the very best that they can. The Trust will grow to 22 schools in the coming few years. The Trust SEND lead will work across all of our schools.

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious school leader to undertake this key strategic role. This post would ideally suit a teacher or leader that has led on SEND within their own school, an Academy Trust, Local Authority or have been a Specialist Leader in Education. Experience in working across a number of schools would be advantageous.

We are looking for someone who:

-         Has the National SENDCO qualification

-         Is an experienced leader with a track record of contributing to high-quality SEND provision

-         Has the ability to develop and communicate a clear vision for Trust-wide SEND provision

-         Has a strong knowledge and understanding of the current educational landscape for all pupils and those with SEND

-         Can develop effective partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders

-         Will contribute significantly to the central Trust Education team.
