Job overview

 Vision for Education are currently recruiting on behalf of an alternative provision in Northumberland that caters for KS3 and 4 students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. This is a full time role, to begin a week before Christmas and will continue on supply until July 2022. 

The role 

The School are looking for a general Teacher who is able to cover a variety of subjects. Candidates that are Primary trained, but prepared to work with KS3 and 4 students are also encouraged to apply. Beacuse of the nature of the students, a lot of them may have missed out on siginifcant periods of education and so can be working at a much lower level for their age group. 

The school 

The School is based in Northumberland and caters for students that have been removed from their mansitream secondary schools. This could be due to a variety of reasons, but can often include anxiety, SEMH difficulties, disrupting classes and refusal to engage in learning. 

Requirements 

To be considered for this position, you will: 

  • Be a qualfied Teacher with QTS or QTLS
  •  Have the personality required to engage and motivate students that have became disillusioned with the education system
  • Be patient and understanding and be able to remian calm in volatile situations
  • Have the flexibility and improvisation skills to be able to deliver a range of subjects
  • be available fll time until Summer 2022
