An impressive, engaging Teacher of Music is required for a part time maternity position at this popular 11-18 boys comprehensive school with a successful ‘Joint Sixth’ form. Music is studied at all key stages and over a hundred students have instrumental lessons. Additionally, there is an extensive extra-curricular programme in place. Beverley Grammar School is a boys-only, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Beverley, East Yorkshire. It is an academy converter supported by a single-academy trust.
Along with Beverley High School for girls, it provides a mixed sixth form. A smaller than average secondary school, Beverley Grammar School provides 920 places for secondary and sixth-form students aged 11-18 when fully subscribed.
The oldest state school in England, Beverley Grammar School was founded in 700AD. With multiple relocations over the years, the school grew from as few as 70 students to the size it is today, with many renovations throughout the 20th century and beyond.
