A primary school in the city of Derby are currently looking for a teacher to cover maternity leave starting in September.The role would is open to both NQT’s and teachers as the school is looking for someone who has the tenacity and drive to succeed in delivering the curriculum to this Year 4 class. 

This ‘good’ school is pushing both its staff and pupils to achieve higher standards than ever before as they seek to push their Ofsted reports to ‘excellent’. The school are particularly well situated for anyone travelling within the city itself as it has great access to nearby transport links. 

Taking on this role would require a teacher who is capable of managing a classroom of 25 or more students and with a proven track record of achieving results in such a setting. As it is a maternity cover the right candidate will have to complete planning, marking, attend parent’s evenings and staff meeting. The school have made ABC aware that if the candidate proves successful in their job of covering the maternity leave then they may be offered a permanent role within the school.

To register with us, all candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview, hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce on the Update Service and also gain references to cover the last 2 years. Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
