This is a rare opportunity to join our excellent Teaching Team

We have several vacancies for temporary teachers to cover maternity absence starting from September 2018 for a minimum of 6 months for at least one position and 9 months for another.

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the country’s largest Special Schools for young people with a diagnosis of Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome and Speech and Language Disorders. The school is located in rural Derbyshire across 2 sites. We demand flexibility, integrity, hard work, resilience and a deep desire to educate young people. In return you will receive fantastic support, incredible career development opportunities, an impressive team working approach to education and the priceless reward of knowing that you are making a difference each and every day to the lives of some very unique individuals

Due to the multiple roles available we are seeking candidates to cover the full age range of school from Primary to Post 16. There will be a pastoral role to all the successful candidates which will be a unique opportunity to work with our amazing young people. Subject specialism is less important than the character of the person in our distinctive school; however, the curriculum areas where we would prefer additional teaching capacity are KS3/4 Maths, KS3/4 English, KS3/4 ICT, KS3/4 PE and Primary.

The successful candidate will work within a small but experienced teaching staff team, supported by a large and dedicated TA team. There will also be an expectation to work alongside a team of dedicated and highly specialised Speech and Language and Occupational Therapists. This whole team approach is key to our excellent provision. If you are an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher and you want to make a significant difference to the lives of our young people then we would like to hear from you.

The roles would be suitable to a newly qualified or more experienced teacher.
