Qatar Foundation - Academic Bridge Program (ABP) is seeking applications for our Math department to join our collaborative and vibrant teaching team for college level students.

The ABP is a highly intensive, one-year, integrated program that develops skills in EFL, math, science, computing and study techniques for students with high potential.

Faculty for Mathematics/Science are responsible for teaching the science and mathematics courses offered at the ABP, including basic courses in chemistry, physics, physical science and biology, advising students to assist them in achieving their goals and working with the other faculty to ensure a well-integrated program approach that meets the goals of the ABP. Full-time assignment will require 20 hours of classroom/lab instruction and other additional duties.


We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic Math educator to join our collaborative and vibrant teaching team starting in August 2025.

The position would appeal to a teacher who had training and qualifications to teach associate degree levels in Math.

The Teacher is responsible for teaching and developing the approved curriculum in area of expertise, managing student behavior, and carrying out teaching duties as outlined in the ABP handbook.

The successful candidate for this position will be willing to be part of a collaborative team who values kindness, builds strong relationships and demonstrates respect and integrity.

They will also:

  • Provide instruction in the various mathematics and science courses offered at the ABP, using a student-centered, integrated approach. 
  • Coordinate with the team and specialists, plans and delivers a program of study designed to teach the curricular standards, benchmarks and outcomes, while meeting the individual needs, interests and abilities of the student, for the enhancement of student learning.
  • Work with members of the faculty team to assure that the curriculum is well-integrated and working smoothly.
  • Conducting interesting, well-planned and well-paced classes, using a variety of instructional techniques, differentiation, strategies, and media appropriate to the lesson and the needs and capabilities of the students; Advising students on ways to improve and maintain performance.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons according to PUE and regulatory safeguarding requirements including but not limited to the provisions of the PUE Child Protection Policy


Successful candidate would also be a part of Academic Bridge Program which is a unique institution within Qatar Foundation. ABP program prepares high school graduates for university education.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Master's degree in mathematics or relevant subject matter. Ph.D. is preferred.
  2. 3+ years of experience teaching at the community college or undergraduate level in a U.S. university, and/or three years of experience as a master teacher at the high school level; Experience using graphing calculators and computer algebra systems as teaching tools and aids is a must.
  3. An understanding of the applications of the mathematics in the various fields of engineering, medicine, business, and design is desired.
  4. Experience teaching students from other countries in mathematics or EFL is preferred.
  5. Clear criminal record and background check.
  6. Clear medical history for HIV, Hepatitis B and C, and Tuberculosis.
