Hackney New School is an exciting, oversubscribed secondary school, which opened in September 2013. Our core vision is to provide students with access to the widest range of opportunities in life by fostering academic excellence and instilling self-belief, intellectual curiosity and responsibility towards others in society. All at HNS share the belief that an outstanding education can be provided to children from a wide range of backgrounds, if they are being challenged in all aspects of their academic and personal development. Our successful Ofsted inspection, after only 5 terms, is testament to our current success. We now need additional outstanding staff to continue to develop our school. In September 2015 we moved into our exciting new purpose built buildings on the Kingsland canal basin.
The continued growth of the school provides an exciting opportunity for a teacher of mathematics. You will work alongside the subject lead to continue the development of the new curriculum and assessment methods, with the likely prospect of leading the department in the following year. You will be an integral part of the team ensuring every student makes outstanding progress and developing successful intervention strategies for those who are underperforming.
With daily Maths lessons and time in our extended day for extra numeracy sessions - students at Hackney New School make exceptional progress in Maths. The Maths teaching at Hackney New School integrates technology fully. Every student has a Chromebook allowing for plenty of opportunities to fully use educational apps as well as blended learning.
You will be committed to ensuring every student is supported and challenged to reach their potential in all areas of their education. You are an enthusiastic, well-qualified and inspirational teacher who is ready to take on a new challenge with excellent prospects for career development. You have the vision, drive and interpersonal skills to motivate students in mathematics and you are keen to make a real and significant difference to the students in our school.
