Mathematics Lecturer (GCSE/Essential Skills) - Pontypool/Usk Campus

With a College priority in developing maths skills of our learners, we have significantly invested in our new Skills Team.

Due to a vacancy in the department, we are looking for an outstanding maths lecturer to join our team.

Do you have a firm belief in the potential of all learners? Do you reflect and develop new approaches to learning? 

Our college has high expectations in the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, working with a dedicated team of specialist teachers.  

If you are a maths teacher, we are keen to hear from you. You should be a qualified in maths and have experience in teaching maths and have innovative strategies to engage learners to fulfil their full potential.  

Very good organisational and communication skills are crucial to planning lessons to ensure successful outcomes within the delivery timeframe. 

An understanding of quality assurance and assessment for learning is essential. An understanding of customer needs from various backgrounds would be an advantage for the successful candidate.

Welsh Language Skills are highly desirable.
