St George’s School Malaga is seeking to appoint an experienced, ambitious, inspiring Mathematics teacher to join our teaching team from September 2016. 

The school is looking for committed professionals who wish to work in a multicultural environment and believe in delivering a holistic, caring, enjoyable, yet academically productive educational experience for young people. St George’s School Malaga is the Flagship school and part of the prestigious St George’s group of schools in Spain and is a member of NABSS.

The successful applicant for the teaching post will:

  • Have a national teaching qualification and relevant degree recognized by UK schools
  • Have relevant experience in a UK or international school following the National Curriculum of England and Wales
  • Be a fluent English speaker
  • Have EU citizenship.
  • Have experience teaching Mathematics to pupils in Key Stage 4 and 5.
  • Be able to teach IGCSE extended and A level Mathematics
  • Have experience of working with pupils for whom English is not their first language
  • Be motivated towards and enthusiastic about contributing to the further development of the school.
  • Be able to inspire and enthuse students in the subject area.
  • Be an outstanding student-centered classroom practitioner possessing a depth of subject knowledge.
  • An additional subject would be welcome (Please specify)

St George’s School Málaga is a mixed, non-denominational all-through school with sixth form situated in the residential area of Cerrado Calderón in Málaga, southern Spain. It is a state school that focuses on delivering ‘A British Education’, mostly centred around the British curriculum and language as well as providing Spanish language lessons and elements of its curriculum. It is part of St George Schools, which provides British-style education at five schools around Spain, also having schools in Madrid, Sevilla, Almería and Barcelona. The latest BSO report identifies a school roll of 712 pupils between the ages of 3-18. St George students study for IGCSE and A Level qualifications.

The school was founded in September 2000 and is an approved member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain.
